Please join me for the Spring Approachable Adult Zoom Workshop Series starting April 18.

I am facilitating an Approachable Adult Zoom Workshop Series this Spring. The Approachable Adult Workshop is open to all caregivers and childcare/youth workers including parents, grandparents, daycare providers, teachers or any adult who cares for or works in proximity with children and youth. My workshops are a safe space to discuss the topic of sexuality and learn ways of being the trusted adult you want to be for the children and youth in your life to talk about this very complex topic.

My workshops always start with the topic of intimacy. According to Dr. Dennis M Dailey, Professor Emeritus at University of Kansas who developed the Circles of Sexuality model defines intimacy as the experience of mutual closeness with another person and includes acts of caring, sharing, loving/liking, vulnerability, self disclosure, trust, risk taking and reciprocity. In my workshops I facilitate a safe space to discuss how to model intimacy and create a trusting and vulnerable environment that is essential in being an Approachable Adult.

Also discussed are the topics of Gender Identity and Gender Expression, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Sexualization and Sensuality in a three-part series:

• April 18 and 28 the focus is on the sexuality of the preschooler and early elementary years

• May 16 and May 26 I focus on the puberty years, and

• June 6 and June 9 I facilitate a discussion on the information youth and young adults want and need to know.

Below is more information detailing the time and cost to attend this zoom workshop. Just a reminder that the workshop is in Pacific Standard Time (PST). The zoom sessions will NOT be recorded and participation is not required to attend.
